Whitmer Stadium Improvements
Washington Local Schools
Project Dates: 2004 – 2007
The district was experiencing drainage problems at its football field and track facility. ESA initially provided surveying services along with coordination of the testing and cleaning of the existing drainage systems. After determining the condition of the existing system, ESA developed construction documents for the drainage improvements while limiting the impact to the existing facilities. The new system was run under the recently resurfaced track without damaging the surface and tied into the existing storm sewer system.
ESA also provided site engineering design for the installation of the new synthetic turf field at Whitmer Stadium. Site improvements included a complete new storm system for the playing surface and track. The project also included resurfacing of the parking lot and replacement of the 8” water main through campus.
ESA also provided the site engineering design for the new locker rooms and concession stand.
